Fan Convection is a feature that circulates hot air throughout the oven, providing even baking results and reducing cooking times. Manufacturers may approach this feature differently than others. GE's True European Convection contains utilized a third heating element in the back, paired with a reversing fan, with the goal of maximizing even distribution of browning. LG approaches convection with their Pro Bake design, which moves the primary heating element to the back (rather than adding an element), that employs a large fan with varying speeds. At higher speeds, the oven is able to "air fry" your food.
