An induction range will usually require a 240v socket delivering, at a minimum, 40 or 50 amps. Exact power requirements for a given model will be listed in the specs or user manual. If your house already has a socket, you will need to check whether the outlet has 3 or 4 prongs, and purchase a power cord separately for your appliance. To confirm that the amperage is adequate, find the corresponding breaker in your electrical panel. The breaker will have its max amperage written somewhere on the switch. If you have any doubts about any of this, contact a licensed electrician.
