FAQ

If I am buying a Scratch & Dent appliance online, how can I know the condition it will be in?

We take pictures of each Scratch & Dent appliance as they come in and attach yellow pointers to show all defects.  On newly received items, there can sometimes be a delay. If there is a Scratch & Dent without pictures that you would like to see online, let us know by phone or e-mail, and we will promptly add photos. Also, everything online is on display at our store in Avondale.

Why Mazer? Why not buy at a large chain store?

We focus on appliances only, and have developed strong relationships with LG and GE to secure deals that other retailers don't have. We can usually save you 20-50% vs national chains. Mazer has been a local family business since the 30's, and our employees actually know and care.

What is the difference between New In Box, Scratch & Dent, and Special Buy?

On this website and on the sales floor of our Avondale store, color coded price tags identify different conditions. New In Box items are tagged as green and priced competitively. Special Buy items are closeouts or overstocks that are in original factory packaging and priced around 20% off MAP with pink sales tags. Scratch & Dent appliances are generally NEW, out-of-box, with cosmetic defects just like what other retailers call floor samples. Yellow price tags identify them.

There is only one difference between Scratch & Dent and New In Box warranties. Scratch & Dent warranties exclude cosmetic issues, but fully cover parts and labor for the same period as New In Box. Special Buy appliances carry the same warranty as New In Box. Scratch & Dent appliances are also eligible for a 5 year extended warranty.

Can I actually touch the appliance before buying it?

Yes! Every appliance listed online is in our store and available for immediate pickup or delivery. Store hours and location can be found on Google Maps here .
